Who We Are
Key Priority Areas
The following key priority areas (KPAs) were identified for the Strategic Plan 2022–2027
Social Capital
This KPA addresses two focal problems: 1) alcohol, drugs, and substance abuse; and 2) poor Indigenous knowledge transfer and patriotism.
Human Capital
KPT will seek to deal with the identified problems of low literacy levels and inadequate relevant skills
Agriculture
The goal of interventions in this KPA is to enhance food and nutrition security for the county through increased productivity and strengthened agribusiness, leading to increased agriculture-based household incomes.
Ease of Doing Business
Unemployment in Kiambu county, especially within the young population, was identified as a huge challenge, and ease of doing business was considered the biggest bottleneck.
Governance
To respond to poor citizenry engagement and poor leadership and governance in the county, the goal of this KPA is that duty bearers are responsive to the needs of citizens and communities.
