Elizabeth Waiyaki

Trustee Elizabeth is the current Board Chair and as a legal practitioner with expertise in company law and human resource management, she brings valuable corporate expertise to the community development field. She is a very innovative and proactive leader who's vision is to see KPT be the powerhouse local development agency that enhances community-led, community-owned and community- managed impact

Michael Mburu

Secretary

Trustee Michael is the current Board Secretary. He is an avid devolution practitioner who strongly advocates for the active participation of young people in matters governance and development. He has also been involved in coordinating civic education and public participation policy dialogues between the government and civil society with a focus on devolution. To KPT, Michael brings both local and international experience in youth advocacy and grassroots community development spanning over 16 years.

Lucy Macharia

Trustee Lucy is a seasoned administrator in special needs education with over 18 years of experience in policy development, advocacy, and disability management. She has a proven track record in conceptualizing and implementing integrated teaching programs and special needs education policies. She is skilled in school management, community mobilization, and gender-based violence advocacy. She brings to KPT expertise in policy development, strategic planning, capacity building, community mobilization, networking, collaboration, resource mobilization, crisis management, communication, leadership, problem-solving, and cultural sensitivity.

Florene Muchiri

Trustee Florence is an exeptional finance and banking expert with over 20 years experience in the financial sector having worked banking, pension administration, and insurance knowledge. She brings to KPT a portfolio of expertise in financial management and administration, a deep understanding of employee benefits/welfare, retirement planning, and benefits management, and the ability to assess risk, design policies, and ensure compliance with a strong ethical foundation, leadership, and governance experience. She is also an accomplished author and motivational speaker who is keen on empowering women and children affected by societal challenges in the community

Raphael Maruri

Trustee Raphael is a strategic and analytical Finance Professional with over 10 years of proven success in periodical analysis and reconciliation, financial reporting, and budget preparation. He brings to KPT strong audit and risk management expertise to ensure compliance at all levels as the BOT Audit & Risk Committee Chair

James Mworia

Trustee

Trustee James is an accomplished corporate coach and trainer with fifteen years’ experience, locally and international. He has been involved in capacity building projects such as, organizational culture change programs, and productivity training programs. He brings valuable expertise on resource mobilization and partnerships that will enhance sustainability for KPT

Mary Mumbi

Trustee

Trustee Mary is an innovation and technology expert and believes in creating solutions that impact on humanity. She brings to KPT a wealth of expertise in community development, product and people management, and strategy innovation. She also has a very strong professional background in business development, finance and digital marketing.

Leah Waruguru Mwangi

KPT Coordinator

Leah is a strong transformative leader and an award-winning conservationist with over 10 years’ of progressive experience in community-based natural resources management, climate-change and community development. She brings to KPT a rich portfolio in field experience, skills in project cycle management, coordination, monitoring and evaluations as well as stakeholder engagement and management.

Martha Anne Wanjiku Nyamu

KPT MERL & Membership

Martha has been working in the Civil Society field for over 16 years and brings valuable expertise in community mobilization & development, program management, monitoring & evaluation, social media management, networking, event management and database management. Her experience working with local and international organizations is a great asset to KPT as it contributes to enhance the citizen-centered development that is sustainable and has impact
