This is us
Kiambu Pamoja Trust (KPT) is a local development organization (LDO) co-created by civil society and private sector organizations representing the people of Kiambu; and the County Government of Kiambu. KPT is a community owned, community led and community managed umbrella body of Kiambu CSOs and aims to contribute to Kiambu development by creating agency and voice for the people. KPT works closely with the County Government of Kiambu through collaboration and consultation in a structured and result oriented approach.
Our reason for existence is to promote agency and voice of community organizations for high impact, local driven sustainable developments in Kiambu county.

Towards Empowered and Flourishing Communities
Kiambu Pamoja Trust co-created by civil society and private sector organizations representing the people of Kiambu, and the County Government of Kiambu.
The project to create a Strategic Plan launched
With the vision to promote the agency and voice of community organizations for high-result, locally
driven, and sustainable developments in Kiambu county, a significant undertaking by the
Board of Trustees (BOT) and Appointors allowed for the launch of the KPT Strategic Pan 2022-2027
Delivery activities commenced with focus on the four Key Priority Areas and Seven Thematic Areas
Our Theory of Change
- IF local organizations can be structured and organized to have agency and voice
- IF local organizations have technical and institutional capacity to design and implement locally driven, sustainable programs,
- and
- IF there is an enabling environment for local organizations to thrive,
- THEN these organizations will empower communities to influence development priorities, and demand better county government performance and improved services delivered
- AND fundamentally improve the social, economic, and governance outcomes.
